Subject: Denardo
I think they mean Denardo Coleman, Ornette's son. I was fortunate to see Primetime and love Ornette's music! Wish I could have been at this one! Song X is a beautiful Ornette record with Pat Metheny.

A brilliant show, and on the whole a good recording.

Sweet recording of a great show. Nice job!

I just listened to Virgin Beauty again and recognized the song "Garcia with Ornette" is "3 Wishes".

That's the only word that can explain this show, especially the second set, with Ornette Coleman! Wow! His sax and the sounds he makes with it add another world to the Dead. Like other shows he's played with them through the years, he takes their music to another level. It's no wonder sometimes Bobby uses horns on some of his sole tours! The sound is other worldly. Which is what the Dead's music is anyway! On a good night, this band can't be beat! The combination of blues, folk, jazz, rock, psychedelic, electronic, country make for an interesting combination indeed. And the Dead knew (and still know) how to blend the sounds to make it sound one and the same. Picked this show because of the added track at the end with Jerry and Coleman. As any band, being human, they're not always on. But this night, they were!
